5 p.m. Reception - Join us and socialize. We will have our famous Mr. Ernie Ford’s calf fries, fried peanuts and so much more. This is always a favorite of attendees! 

6 p.m. Grill Out, Games & Family Fun at the Ridges Resort - We will enjoy fellowship, food, games and the ever-popular Name That Tune! We never have enough time to visit and relax so this is our chance. We will enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs with all the sides. It will be a fun evening for the whole family! 

- Family Feud Fun Zone: We are adding a Family Feud Fun Zone with adult size Jenga, adult size Yahtzee, Ladder Golf and more! Don’t miss out on the fun! 

 - DJ - Name that Tune: Come on out, listen to the DJ, dance or compete with “Name That Tune!” The competition is fierce. This is our most popular game every year! The DJ has to add more and more songs – it is loads of fun! 

- Watermelon Eating Contest: Come young, come old, one and all to the very popular watermelon eating contest! Come join us or just watch - either way you will be entertained!

7:30 a.m. Early Registration and Check-in

8 9:30 a.m. Committee Meetings - Committee meetings are open to all members. If you are not involved in one of these committees that is not a problem; see what interests you and join in. You will surely learn something new!

- Region VP and Membership Committee - Join this meeting to discuss how GCA will take the next step in increasing value for our members and how we can recruit even more. 

- Legislative Committee - Attend to hear an update on the state and federal legislative issues as the committee looks forward to identifying priorities for the 2019 General Assembly. 

- Tour Committee - The Tour Committee will meet to discuss the 2020 Tour to Hawaii and make plans. Come join them and sign up to go on the tour! 

9:30 10 a.m. Gathering & Refreshment Break - Join us for coffee and cookies, plus visit old friends and make new ones!

10 12 noon Opening and Welcome - GCA President Brent Galloway will welcome everyone to the Summer Conference and then welcome our special guest speaker. He will present the goals for the weekend, discuss why we are here and what we hope to accomplish, and thank all of our sponsors for their support. 

10:15 12 noon David Pugh, DVM is the Director of the Alabama State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory System. Dr. Pugh will be discussing internal and external parasite control and resistance. He is an excellent, well-versed speaker that you will love! 

1 p.m. Golf Tournament Tee Time! All members are invited to take part in an afternoon of golf. This will be a great time of competition and fun. These guys have a great time together every year. If you have never joined them, I promise you will have an afternoon not soon forgotten! 

1 p.m. GCWA Luncheon Social - Ladies, we have a special afternoon just for you! We will have a time to visit and get to know one another better while enjoying lunch! This will be an excellent opportunity to meet the new GCWA Board and hear of the exciting things they have planned for the year. 

1 p.m. GJCA on the Lake!  The juniors will spend the afternoon together by the lake enjoying the Splash Zone. This is an excellent time to get to know other juniors as well as all of the Junior officers. These kids know how to have fun together! Don’t miss it! 

6:30 p.m. Sam Gay Seafood Experience at the Union County Ag Center with the YCC Corn Hole Tournament - We will enjoy a seafood buffet experience that will not be soon forgotten, including shrimp, fish, deviled crab, scallops and the list goes on! We will also have Todd Taylor, the Banjo Man, for some true entertainment! We will have our annual PAC auction - which is always so much fun! The YCC will also be hosting their 6th Annual YCC Corn Hole Tournament - there are titles to defend! There will be a Junior and Senior Tournament Division. This will be a great opportunity to show off your skills. Prizes will be awarded. 

Saturday, July 27

8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Committee Meetings - 

   - Production & Marketing - Come prepared to discuss issues and policy related to cattle production and marketing.  Updates will be available on Beef Quality Assurance, GA Bull Tests, GA HERD Programs, and GA Beef Challenge.

   - Cattle Health & Well-Being - Come join us and look at various hot topics affecting the health and well-being of the cattle in Georgia.  

9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. Break 

10 am – 12 noon GCA General Session Meeting with NCBA President Jennifer Houston - We will hold our mid-year general policy board meeting. The committees will have an opportunity to share with the members what each group has been working on and receive member input. This will be a great time to look at where we are and where we want to go in GCA. NCBA President Jennifer Houston will share an update on the national level.
