We have been selected as an approved event for the Rancher Resilience Grant, sponsored by NCBA, the National Cattlemen's Foundation, and Cargill. This is a grant with a fixed amount of $600, which will be paid via reimbursement. If you are interested in attending GCA Convention but are concerned that it is out of your budget, we highly encourage you to check this grant out at https://www.ncba.org/producers/rancher-resilience-grant. The deadline to apply is February 24, 2025.
Please contact NCBA directly with any questions. GCA does not handle the application or funds dispersal for this grant.
This year, GJCA is proud to offer members five convention contests to participate in that will allow them to meet new friends, learn more about the industry, and earn prizes (including cash!!) in a fun, competitive setting. The GCA Convention contests will take place the morning of Thursday, March 13, 2025. All contest and award winners will be recognized at the Awards Luncheon at 12:00PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025. The following contests will be available to youth at this year's convention:
Photography, Prepared Public Speaking, Quiz Bowl, Stockman's Quiz, GCWA Best Beef Recipe

This contest allows GJCA, 4-H, and FFA members to bring their experiences and creativity to life by enhancing their photography, presentation, and competitive skills. All entries will be displayed and judged at the 63rd Annual Convention and photos must relate to farming, cattle, or conservation.

This contest aims to provide an opportunity for young people involved in the Georgia cattle industry to develop public speaking skills and participate in a competitive activity focused on agricultural issues.

This contrest provides the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of factors impacting beef cattle producers including nutrition, management, current events, and industry trends. There will be a youth and an adult division this year!
