The Young Cattlemen's Council (YCC) is a division established under the Georgia Cattlemen's Association for members 18-40 years of age. With an emphasis on developing the future of Georgia's cattle industry, the Young Cattlemen's Council provides opportunities for young cattle producers to expand their knowledge of beef production, maximize the profitability of their operations, and broaden their network of connections in the industry.
The Young Cattlemen's Council is eager to host this year's Summer Short Course in Athens, Georgia, on Saturday, May 21, 2022! This event aims to present attendees with a unique educational and networking opportunity that enhances their understanding of essential concepts, techniques, and practices relevant to the beef cattle industry. By spotlighting four main focus areas, including land acquisition, business planning, direct marketing of beef, and herd optimization, we are confident this event will be valuable to it's participants by offering them practical applications and implementation methods that will fit into their own operations back home.
Your YCC Summer Short Course registration includes all educational seminars and activities, lunch at the event, and a chance to win a vaccine cooler donated by Zoetis! Call the GCA Office at (478) 474-6560 or click here to register today!

The Georgia Cattlemen's Association (GCA) is a producer-focused, producer-led organization whose mission is to unite and advance our state's cattle industry. From up in the Blue Ridge Mountains to down near the Coastal Plains, we represent the voices of over 5,500 cattle producers throughout Georgia. We aim to protect and preserve our cattle farming and ranching community through legislative representation, market development, producer education, and community engagement.
